Susan Griffin Appointed to CPF Board
Susan Griffin has been appointed to the Community Papers of Florida (CPF) board of directors.

Griffin is the publisher of the Ponte Vedra Recorder, which has served as the community paper of Ponte Vedra and the Beaches near Jacksonville, Fla., since 1969.

She was named publisher of the Recorder in March of this year. Griffin was appointed interim publisher when the Recorder was purchased by OPC News in September 2011.

Griffin started her career in the publishing field more than 16 years ago when she joined the Recorder as an advertising account executive. At the time, the Recorder was owned by the Bradford family, the original owners of the Recorder. Griffin later served as the sales manager for many years before being named publisher.

Prior to joining the Recorder, Griffin owned travel agencies in Florida and Georgia. She is very active in the community and participates in many events to benefit charity.

Griffin has also been active in the Ponte Vedra Beach Chamber of Commerce since 1997. She served for many years as the chair of the Ambassador Committee and was awarded Ambassador of the Year in 2004. Griffin also served on many committees including the wine-fest, car show and the Chamber's annual golf tournament.

Griffin lives in Ponte Vedra Beach and has been married to her husband, Danny, for 27 years. They have a daughter, Nicole, and two birds, Angel and Newbird.
