It's Conference Time!
Are you planning to attend the Community Papers of Florida (CPF) annual conference scheduled at the Renaissance Airport Hotel in Orlando May 1-3, 2008?

If you are, plan on a busy training schedule, great food and beverages, a golf outing, and the opportunity to win a lot of cash and prizes.

To top it off, if you are a member of a publication that participates in the CPF classified network, the association is picking up the tab. When you check into the hotel you will be asked for a credit card to pay for the incidentals that you may charge to the room, but the cost of the room is paid for by CPF!

Attending the training sessions can pay off in big bucks. At the start of the Friday Welcome Reception and again at the Kentucky Derby Reception that concludes the conference, Win, Place and Show tickets will be drawn to determine the winners of $1,000, $750, and $500 cash prizes. And if the winners choose the actual Derby winners, the amounts will be doubled.

How do you obtain the tickets?

For each training session you attend, if you are on time you will be given a ticket. If you stay for the entire session, you will have the opportunity to turn that ticket in to Barbara Holmes or Tiffany Clark when you leave the session. The more tickets you have turned in, the better the odds of winning. This will be done each day of the conference, which means there will be two winners for each Win, Place and Show cash prize. Other Derby prizes will also be available.

This year we have also made it possible for our editorial and graphics talent to be monetarily awarded. Checks will be distributed to the first, second and third place winners of the "Awards for Excellence" competition.

Someone will also walk home with a vacation in Miami Beach. For one week you will have the use of a deluxe two bedroom, two bath beach-side condo.

The CPF staff looks forward to providing you with a great conference in Orlando!
