2011 Awards for Excellence
Forum Publishing Group led the way in the Community Papers of Florida (CPF) annual "Awards for Excellence" awards contest.

Forum picked up 31 awards in the annual competition. Forum was followed closely by Tampa Bay Newspapers with 30 awards, and the Observer News in Ruskin with 27 honors.

Tampa Bay and the Observer News led with the most first place honors, picking up seven each. The Forum Group had six first place trophies.

The Journal Community Publishing Group picked up 24 awards, including three for first place. Hometown News was right behind with 23 awards, including three first place honors. Osceola News Gazette picked up 20 awards, including four first place honors. The Clermont News Leader earned 17 honors, including three first place awards. Breeze Newspapers picked up 14 awards and six first place honors. Tower Publications came home with 14 awards, including five first place honors.

Best of Show honors were awarded to the Community News Publications in Lutz for their "J. Joseph Salon & Spa" ad campaign. The ad campaign was also awarded one of the "Judge's Choice" awards.

Other "Judge's Choice" honors were awarded to Forum Publishing Group's "South Florida Parenting," Ponte Vedra Recorder's "Get Connected," and the Clearwater Beacon's "Consumer Guide."
